In Craig David Parr’s eighteen-minute video, the painting and the memories it evokes are a jumping-off point for a parallel flight of fancy. As if following the arc of the last five decades, the video swaps the psychedelic afterglow of its pictorial namesake for something darker, ominous, uncanny, Gothick.
