It's Personal documents Kyla's experience of care during the Covid-19 pandemic. Created to evoke a hybrid-documentary/reality TV challenge, Kyla's 24-hour care becomes a catalyst to explore what it means to be a 'key worker'; with Lou, for the first time in their friendship, assisting Kyla with her everyday necessities. The division between friendship and work blurs as the two navigate new levels of intimacy and negotiate time together as employer and employee.

Kyla has also created, and will be starring in, a new BBC Two comedy drama 'We Might Regret This' — is now available on BBC iPlayer and on BBC Two on Mondays at 10pm. Inspired by the lives and experiences of Kyla and co-creator Lee Getty, the show centres around a new relationship, an impending blended family and an intense female friendship, following Freya a 30-something Canadian artist and tetraplegic.

Read or listen to The Fluidity of Care, writer Rebekah Taussig's powerful response to It's Personal, which considers caregiving as both a personal and communal experience.
