FVU Director Steven Bode will be chairing a day of discussions and screenings exploring the influence of David Lynch as a practitioner operating across the perceived boundaries of film and art, and how contemporary artists and filmmakers traverse this divide.

The symposium will take place at mima Middlesbrough as part of the event programme for their current exhibition ‘David Lynch Naming’. Other speakers include Brett Littman, curator of ‘Naming’; award winning artist and director Shezad Dawood; artist Georgina Starr; and the author of ‘The Film Paintings of David Lynch’, Allister Mactaggart.
