Geomancer

Lawrence Lek

Screening & Talk

Event overview

Lawrence Lek's Jerwood/FVU Awards film Geomancer (parts 1 & 2) shows in a screening of works by the six artists nominated for this year’s Film London Jarman Award: Larry Achiampong & David Blandy, Jasmina Cibic, Lawrence Lek, Daria Martin, Hardeep Pandhal and Margaret Salmon. Lawrence Lek joins the audience for a Q&A after the screening.

In Geomancer, Lek expands his signature gaming-world aesthetic to alight on a longstanding tension between the place of the human and the role of the machine. Set in Singapore in a speculative year 2065, a satellite Artificial Intelligence 'awakens' above the city. Find out more.
