Joanne shows in Beijing as part of Recent Acquisitions of Si Shang Art Collection, Recent Developments of the Reality of Humanity. Works by sixteen contemporary artists reflect, question and criticize the huge societal shifts occurring globally. The selected artists represent a rich diversity of perspectives, each uniquely responding to our ever-transforming civilization. 

Joanne employs the visual language of social media and advertising to explore the complexities and contradictions inherent in our simultaneous quest for authenticity and fantasy. The film is accompanied in the exhibition by monolithic light-boxes featuring images created in collaboration with acclaimed fashion photographer Andreas Larsson.
