A screening of three works by Lucy Beech: Cannibals, Me and Mine, and Pharmakon. Situated between documentary and fiction, the films focus on power and the production of visibility in relation to the female body.
Me and Mine was commissioned in 2015 and observes the contemporary funeral industry, which is embracing alternative practices, acknowledging different voices, and, as Lucy Beech’s film bears witness, increasingly fronted and influenced by women.
