Film and Video Umbrella is supporting the UK premiere of a new suite of piano compositions by Cory Arcangel that will take place in the Nash Room of the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London on Friday October 18. Dances For The Electric Piano is performed solo on a Korg M1 electric piano - a technology famous for its use in classic Rave/Trance piano breakdowns circa the late 80's, 90's, and 00's. In a separate programme, Film and Video Umbrella will also be celebrating our 2007 commission with Arcangel 'a couple thousand short films about Glenn Gould' in a special online focus, with a new text reappraising this key work.
Soloist: John Reid
'Dances For The Electric Piano' is supported by Film and Video Umbrella and the Lisson Gallery and presented in association with the ICA. This event is part of Film and Video Umbrella's 25 Frames.
