Prime Time

Rob Crosse

Screening

Event overview

Prime Time screens as part of Videoclub Selected VIII, a diverse programme of artists’ moving-image works nominated for inclusion by the Jarman Award 2017 shortlisted artists. The screening programme tours the UK, beginning at Fabrica in Brighton on 26 April.

Rob Crosse's 2017 commission Prime Time follows a group of older gay men as they journey on a cruise ship around the Caribbean. Deftly captured by Crosse’s oblique yet tender eye, the film is an affectionate study of human hopes and relationships, and a resonant meditation on how we both measure and deny the passing of time.
